Land at Ward Island and explore it on foot (bring strong footwear), swim, fish etc. We can cross to Days Bay for a coffee, depending on conditions and skill levels. Return 3.00 p.m. to avoid ferries, cruise liners and other shipping.

Bring togs, fishing line, VHF and the usual safety gear. The crossing is 3.3 km (45 mins) and the same distance again to Days Bay. There is no fresh water on Ward Island and fires, pets and camping are prohibited. Please ensure your kayak and equipment is clean and not carrying any pests or insects.

Meet me at Scorching Bay at 9.00 a.m. for 9.30 a.m. departure. There is plenty of parking, changing sheds and fresh water showers.
