Tim is an experienced sea kayaker, C2C Certified Grade 2 / white water paddler and a Coastguard Boating Education certified instructor; He is the owner and developer of paddler.co.nz – a social media network and padding resource for New Zealand kayakers and multisporters.
Tim has been on the KASK committee for over three years and he has organized the Auckland Forum 2015 (Long Bay) and part of the Kayak Fest 2017 (Ponui Is) organisation team. Tim is also a Yakity Yak kayak club trip leader and has led many paddling trips. Currently Tim is training for the Coast to Coast 2018.
To fund his paddling addiction, Tim works as an independent consultant specialising Information Services Strategy and other geeky stuff. Tim specialises in Health Informatics, Big Data and Cyber Security.
KASK's aims are to:1. Promote and encourage the sport of sea kayaking
2. Promote safety standards
3. Develop techniques and equipment
4. Deal with issues of coastal access and protection
5. Organise sea kayak forums around the country
6. Publish the Sea Canoeist Newsletter and the KASK Handbook
